JD Gierach

Pastor JD graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC with a B.S. in Psychology and went on to study at Duke Divinity School receiving his Masters of Divinity in 2022.  As a local Floridian, he played on the worship team at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church in high school and eventually made his way back to MWPC to serve as an Assistant Pastor.  He discerned a call by God his senior year of college, leaving the plans of dentistry behind and heading towards a life of ministry. He has experience preaching, leading bible studies and leading worship music.  He also has a passion for art and marketing (both of which he has been involved with his whole life) to make the Gospel as accessible and beautiful as it was meant to be.

 

You can find him with his wife in his spare time, playing guitar, working out, reading a good book or taking a trip to the beach!
