This series takes us through the 40 day season of Lent. The culmination of this season is Palm Sunday and Easter. Keying off the idea of the palms that heralded Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem, and because we in Florida are intimately familiar with the palm and all of its variations, Pastors Joe and Jody used the palm as an illustration of all of the issues that prevent us from having a deeper relationship with Jesus and with each other.

During Lent we prepare our hearts for Christ's death and resurrection during Holy Week, and this series seeks to do that by breaking down barriers to true relationships. Each part of the series looks at a different barrier, like darkness, hurt, isolation, and lack of direction.

If you seek to overcome some of the things holding you back from a full relationship with God, this series is a good place to start.

Click here for our 4-part 2017 Advent sermon series, "Christmas Looming" by Rev. Joe Wendorph and Rev. Jody Mask

For this rather unique Advent series, each week a member of the congregation came up to the chancel and wove in another color of thread on the Christmas Loom while the Pastor gave the message. This was to symbolize all the different parts of Christmas we weave into our lives.

"Christmas, I think, just feels different than any other time of the year...What is it about Christmas? It seems to interrupt our lives. It's as if love is leaking out of heaven and it's falling on us like supernatural snow flakes. And for a moment, if it's just a moment, we glimpse the extraordinary, the extra-ordinariness of the kingdom of God. It's like the music that we're playing today, the smells...the traditions, the love, all these are signs of a mystery that's weaving into our lives right now, creating an image of what our lives are supposed to be.

So I want you to consider in the next four weeks a different kind of image for your Christmas...It's the image of the loom...Christmas is like we're weaving in things and images...by the time Advent is done, we're going to have a whole cloth here that's going to represent our image of Christmas. So I want you to join with us as we weave in a bit mystery on that very loom, we weave it in through a moment of time, and when the time is completed, I hope it will ignite some hope in you...I think the world needs this, to think about Christmas a different way...Christ too is looming, weaving, and creating."
--Rev. Joe Wendorph

Click here for our 3-part 2017 Stewardship sermon series, "Living Wholeness" by Rev. Joe Wendorph

This series explores the ancient Hebrew concept of the spiritual and physical comprising one whole, and how God calls us to live as whole beings, not separating our lives into separate compartments.

This series was used for Stewardship season, so Pastor Joe looks at what we, as Christians, are called to live out as Christians. What represents us? Does God require a dollar amount, or maybe something more?

If you have ever wondered what the words, "gifts, tithes, and offerings" mean, this is the series for you. Spoiler alert: it's not all about money. In fact, it's almost nothing about money. It's about living as whole people, and giving our whole selves to God.

Click here for our 2017 Lenten sermon series, "The Lord of the Rings" by Rev. Joe Wendorph

This series asks some hard questions about what is lord of our lives; what calls to us, promising everything we could ever want, if only accept?

Viewed through the lens of one of Tolkein's most beloved tales, this series tackles the rather difficult topic of temptation in a way everyone can understand.

"So if you long to experience the God who made you, and the God who loves you, and begin to sort out some of these calls that tug and pull on us, the call of the lord of this world, and sort that out from the Lord of life, then you'll be in the right place.

Here's the one thing you need to know: there's not going to be any hobbits, sorry, there won't be any dwarves, sorry, and there won't be any wizards, but there will be a ring. At least, the story of evil and its constant pull and calling on our hearts and our souls." --Rev. Joe Wendorph
